A place, maybe, but only because stopping made edges appear. Before that, it was just motion.
After that – a room, a body, a question, a trace. Where you stopped moving can become a place when something begins to gather there.
A recognition that is postponed. What if a moment could hold a thought for you until you were ready to have it. Everyone has looked up. Everyone has wondered, if only for a second, whether they should be somewhere else – or whether somewhere else is simply another version of here.
somewhere is an ongoing series of fragments placed in public space. A word. A piece of writing.
An image of the sky. They are not intended to appear together or explain one another. They move through different places, carrying only the possibility of recognition. A person might encounter a single fragment and continue walking. Another might meet the same gesture again somewhere else.
The work is interested in the moments that remain after the encounter – the small pauses that arrive without invitation. Just a quiet presence inside the movement of everyday life.
